As cookiemonster said above, ranks fluctuate. To go more into detail, organic search ranks change daily as google is constantly indexing and reindexing content on the web. You may rank 1 on monday and rank 5 by thursday. This happens all the time. It is nearly impossible to consistently rank #1 for a keyword unless there is very low competition.
