Canonicalization is the process of choosing and formalizing a preferred version of a URL to be indexed by search engines. The preferred URL is known as the canonical URL.

URL Canonicalization also known as "rel canonical"  is a process of telling search engines that a specific URL represents the master copy of a page.
You can simply add rel=”canonical” tag which is enough to apply Canonicalization.

We will use the tag information as provided, but we’ll also use algorithmic mechanisms to avoid situations where we think the tag was not used as intended.
