Title: Using Multiple Keywords In Meta Title
Post by: kevinsteve on 03-06-2018, 02:20:16
Hi

I am performing SEO for couple of websites and I have a question regarding Meta Title.

Lets assume, I am performing seo for a clothing manufacturer including jeans, shirts, tshirts etc and I have separate pages for all products. The 3 keywords I shortlisted with highest searches using adwords keyword planer regarding jeans are:

Jeans Manufacturer
Jeans Supplier
Jeans Producer

I want that specific page to rank on all of these keywords. Can I make my title in this way:

Jeans Manufacturer, Supplier & Producer | %%sitename%%

For some long keywords, I will use only 2 variation to stay in character length limits. For example:

Egyptian Cotton Shirts Manufacturer & Supplier | %%sitename%%

Thanks in Advance :)

I think your Meta Title Strategy is good, as including those Keyword Variations further helps distinguish what your website and web pages are about. Try to have the keyword with the most search volume closest to the front as well.

For getting good results in SERP, I think there should be a dedicated page for specific keywords. It is important to get good CTR in the SERPs. If your page shows specific Title then the chances of the user clicking the title are more. This will improve CTR, traffic and finally the conversion.

I would say you are good to include multiple keywords in the Meta Title, just make sure you are within the 70 characters or so before they "..." your Title off.

Look at what your online competition is doing first, but I see no reason why including multiple keywords would be bad in any way, as long as they are all related to whats on the page.

Yes it is good practice to use multiple keywords in the meta title to distinguish what your website and web pages are about,  just make sure you are title within the 60-70 characters not more than that.

Hello,
You can use only 60-65  characters in the title
Jeans Manufacturer | Jeans Supplier | Jeans Producer
search your competitors and see the competitors title and create the best title for your pages

Hope you’ll get your answer.

Your keyword placement in the Meta Title is good and within character limits. However I would suggest you to create a separate "Jeans Supplier" page with relevant content. That will help your pages rank faster.

You can target multiple keywords in Meta as total word count limit of Meta title is 65 - 70 characters. Provided one page should be targeted with one set of keywords only and not multiple keywords in same page.

Your watchword arrangement in the Meta Title is great and inside character limits. Anyway I would recommend you to make a different "Pants Supplier" page with significant substance. That will enable your pages to rank quicker.

Jeans Manufacturer, Supplier & Producer | %%sitename%%

Egyptian Cotton Shirts Manufacturer & Supplier | %%sitename%%

The first one looks like a perfect title for your homepage, if you want to create a title for category pages, they should be more precise, including keywords according to a certain category.

instead of placing just keywords in meta title it is good to use some meaning full title for each individual page because title and description will make the viewer click the page if you just paste keywords it will not attract them. Even click-through rate (CTR) is one of the aspects Google consider in ranking your site.

You can use multiple keywords in title tag but you have to use in limited character. If you are using extra character then those extra characters are not consider in crawling. It impacts on ranking.

Using a couple of keywords in Meta Title is a good concept. But first, examine your keywords. According to that use long tail keywords in Meta Title.
and you have to also remember about keyword proximity.

For getting good result on the SERP you can use one or multiple Keywords in the Meta Title. If you have a longtail Keywords then you should use only one keyword otherwise you can use multiple keywords.
Thanks for this post.

I think your Meta Title Strategy is good, as including those Keyword Variations further helps distinguish what your website and web pages are about. Yes you can use multiple keywords in the same title tag with comma separating them but only if the content below has those same keywords and is relevant to the content of the site, otherwise it is known as keyword stuffing and is illegal. So be very careful when doing this. These multiple keywords if you are using must be interlinked while still being relevant to the below content.
Hope this helps.

Titles have changed quite a bit... exact match keywords are not always the best. Google results show a lot of LSI words in titles now... RankBrain is smart enough to determine what your page is really about and jamming keywords into your titles does not have the same impact as it used to.

You have made a nice selection indeed. Also, your choice of sticking to 2 variants is good too because there is no benefit in displaying '....' in the title.

Today, the quality of a website’s content is not enough. With virtually thousands upon thousands of available websites, users rarely have the opportunity to sift through all sites, mostly going with the top 3, most popular search engine results. This is why SEO is considered the holy grail of web marketing; robust SEO can drive a lot of traffic to your website.

The title of the blog is self-descriptive; it tells the reader about the topic of the blog. Needless to say, it is the most important item on this list as a poorly worded title can be enormously damaging to your site’s SEO.

Meta description helps your blog in a two-fold manner: it makes the search engine’s job easier by briefly detailing the post, and attracts users with a concise and coherent summary of the post.
