For an SEO audit I used check for factors like Keyword Cannibalization, Proper Keyword Targeting, Duplicate Content, Robots.txt checking, Proper Re-Direction check, Use of i Frames, Flash, JavaScript check, Alt text, H1 tags and many more.

Now a days content  is the king in SEO, so unique content and proper title meta should be there and by using those title meta we can do link building and that will hlep us to get faster ranking.
