Start with the website audit.

Once the website audit is done start optimizing the website where you can improvise.

Yes, you get the SEO tool like SEMRush or AHRF. Then run the thorough onsite audit of your site to check the onsite SEO issues.

Secondly, create the social media profiles - as many platforms as possible. Yes, they give you backlinks and send traffic too.

Lastly begin building basic backlinks first for your website.

Once you are through these steps you will start seeing some traction on your website.

All the best!

Hello,
The steps you have to follow:
1. Website Audit ( you will have to check title, description, alt tag, h1 tag, keywords, interliniking etc all that things)
2. Keyword Analysis
3. Competitor Analysis
4. Work on On Page Activities
5. Off Page Activities

While many people will look online and probably find you if your SEO is right, many others will find out about you through word of mouth so if your domain name sounds a bit too much like something else, they could end up missing you.

First step should be your domain name, then you should choose keywords very wisely for your website content so that your website can crawl & rank on google with better content and you website design look good & user friendly. There are many aspects of SEO though for a better website like your meta details, url links etc.
Hope that helps!

Some key points needs to be considered are:

Content: Is the content relevant to what the user is searching for?
Performance: Does the site load fast and does it work properly?
Authority: Is the content useful enough to link to or do other authoritative sites use that website as a reference or cite the information that’s available?
User experience: How does the site look and behave? Is it easy to navigate around? Does it look safe? Does it have a high bounce rate?

The first thing to do after constructing your website would be to register it with Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics if you have appropriately set up your website from the start, including taking care of all the SEO and Social Meta markup, robots text, and XML sitemap. You publish your sitemap in Webmaster Tools, after which you use the "fetch as Google" option to have Google crawl and index your website.
