"On-page" usually refers to measures that can be taken directly within a website to improve its position in search rankings. These measures fall under the umbrella of on-page Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Here are some of the most valuable activities in on-page SEO:

Keyword optimization: This is the practice of including keywords that you want to rank for in Google and other search engines in various parts of your site. However, it is important not to overdo it as search engines will penalize you for keyword stuffing. Place the keyword in your title, subtitles, and throughout your content, but make sure it comes across as natural within the context of your page.

Meta descriptions and title tags: These are important places to include your chosen keywords. They not only help search engines understand the content and context of your pages but also form part of the snippet that shows up in search results, influencing click-through rates.

High-quality content creation: Longer, in-depth, high-quality content not only keeps readers on your page longer (which can help your search rankings) but also increases the likelihood of backlinks from other sites.

Internal linking: Including links to other parts of your site within your content can help spread link equity around your site, make it easier for search engines to index your site, and give users more reading options.

Optimizing images: All images should have alt text, not only for SEO purposes but also for accessibility. The file size of images can also affect page load speed, which is an important SEO factor.

SEO-friendly URLs: Your URLs should be short, descriptive and include keywords, as search engines take URLs into account when ranking pages.

Website load speed: Slow website speeds can negatively impact your SEO. Compress images, use browser caching, and remove any unnecessary plugins to improve your site speed.

Mobile optimization: In today's world, your website must be optimized for mobile devices. Google even prioritizes mobile optimization through its mobile-first indexing approach.

Structured data markup: This can enhance your site's listings in the search results with additional info like reviews, images, and more, all of which can improve click-through rates.

If you're looking for more advanced on-page SEO techniques that can drive effectiveness and value, consider the following:

Optimize for User Intent: Understand what a user is likely to be looking for when they type query into a search engine. Google has improved its understanding of user intent over time, and it now prioritizes pages that meet user intent over pages that merely repeat keyword phrases. Research, understand, and write content that answers your audience's questions.

Topic Clusters and Pillar Pages: This is a modern approach to site architecture. The pillar page covers a broad topic in depth, and a series of related posts (the cluster) elaborate on specific aspects of the topic. Links between the posts and back to the pillar page create a tightly-knit interlinking structure which Google favors.

Schema Markup: Implement schema (or structured data markup), to provide search engines with more information about your website, and potentially get more attractive listings in SERPs, such as rich snippets, breadcrumbs, etc.

Semantic SEO: This requires creating content that genuinely answers questions related to your keywords. It considers context and user intent, using related words and phrases in addition to primary keywords. This way your site will respond to the semantics of the query, not just the literal words being used.

Voice Search Optimization: With the rise of mobile use and smart speakers, optimizing for voice search is becoming increasingly important. This includes focusing on long-tail keywords and natural language that matches the conversational tone of voice search, as well as creating short, concise answers to common questions.

Improve User Experience: This includes clear navigation, a clean, uncluttered design, and removing anything that might cause confusion or irritation, like intrusive pop-ups. High user engagement contributes to a better ranking.

Click-Through-Rate Optimization: Enhance title tags and meta descriptions, to improve CTR from SERPs. Tests have shown that a higher click-through rate can help improve rankings.

EAT Factors: EAT stands for expertise, authority, and trustworthiness - criteria that Google uses to assess content quality. This includes author bios for posts, citing reputable sources, and making sure your site has clear, accessible privacy, security, and contact information.

Content Audit and Revamp: Continually update and refresh older content to keep it relevant and valuable for users, which can also maintain its search engine rankings.

Video Optimization: This can include SEO-friendly titles and descriptions, relevant tags, transcripts, and subtitles. Google also considers user engagement with video content, so ensuring your video content is high quality and effectively addresses user queries is key.

Optimize for Dwell Time: Dwell time is the amount of time a visitor spends on your page after clicking on your site in the search results and before returning to the search results. Longer dwell times can indicate to Google that your content is engaging, so optimizing for this metric could improve your rankings.

Featured Snippet Optimization: These short selections aim to answer a user's question immediately. They are shown at the top of Google's search results, so winning a featured snippet can be a great way to improve your visibility. Try to format your content in a way that aligns with the type of featured snippet you're targeting (paragraph, list, table, etc.)

Social Sharing Buttons: Although Google has stated that social signals aren't a direct ranking factor, the correlation between social shares and visibility in SERPs is too high to ignore. Make sure your content is easily shareable via social media platforms.

Use of AMP: Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) is a project from Google and Twitter designed to make really fast mobile pages. Although Google has stated that AMP is not a ranking factor, it might increase click-through rates as AMP pages load faster.

Optimize for Local SEO: Tailor your site's content, metadata, keywords, and imagery to the region and demographic you're targeting. Make sure you also register and optimize Google My Business for local listings.

Content Readability: Make sure your content can be easily read and understood. This includes the use of smaller paragraphs, subheadings, bullet points, and images to break up text.

Also, take advantage of SEO tools and analytics to get insights for your strategy, identify issues, and track the effectiveness of your efforts. Examples of these tools include Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, etc.

According to me the important factor of on page SEO is keyword implementation on the website pages. If you are putting keywords on the website creatively then your keywords get better chance to rank.

Best technique for on-page optimization is to keep updating your site/blog's content with fresh, interesting, people-friendly content that is unique and intelligently using keywords and keyphrases in it. Don't stuff the content with keywords, just using keywords in titles and a couple of times in the content in such a way that it is a section of what your content is about is great.
