Title: Submission to DMOZ
Post by: Charter on 05-23-2010, 17:19:47
I checked there and even thouse big competitors are not listed. figured it is just hard in nature to be listed on DMOZ.

By the way, i did not even find the appropriate categories.

Try to submit and forget it.
Now it is not very important to get listed in dmoz.
Develop you site and you will get much more than simply listed there.

For some of my friends it took months to get listed there.  As somebody said forget it after submission and look for page rank.

It's not the end of the world if you can't get in there. Some categories don't have editors so they may never add a business.

I have read in one article that dmoz are not accepting new directories. So we have to wait until or unless they restart to accept.

I do not allow a new directory dmoz read that article. So wait, or not to accept the need to restart.

Dmoz takes months to include your site in the directory and most of the time they just not approve the submission. There are thousands of human editors there but I think they mostly do it for paid inclusion.  :(
