Hi,

I know of DMOZ and Yahoo directories. I have submitted my website to both. That being said, I am looking to add my site to directories that are local- Los Angeles, CA. They must be seen by Google and Yahoo as good directories. Any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is no secret to find out best directories because Google never hide information from anybody that's why we should find over Google without any confusion.
Just search out in the search bar: "Los Angleles + Directories" and optimize all search results.

Includes L.A.-area communities that are part of current Los Angeles city limits. Listings are generally in alphabetical order by the name of street, but it can vary from year to year. Numbered-street naming conventions can vary , numbered streets can be listed before or after named streets, and numbered avenues could be interfiled with, before, or after the named streets! Abbreviations can also vary , so check to see how the directory is organized before giving up on your search.

DMOZ is already dead as well as the other directories that are usually paid but has small effect and worst noting at all. Kindly try some popular medium for your business.
