You can see PPC Ads on top and right hand side also. Some time it now show on top show below after organic site results. To show your ads on top , you need good quality score and high bid, you can get your ads on top for particular keywords. Sometime website repeated in results within different pages of search results.

PPC is an online advertising model in which advertisers can display ads for their goods or services when users – people searching for things online – enter relevant queries into search engines. Advertisers are only charged when a user actually clicks on their ad, hence the name pay-per-click.

PPC stands for pay-per-click, a model of internet marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Essentially, it's a way of buying visits to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically. Search engine advertising is one of the most popular forms of PPC.

Depending upon different factors Google evaluate your ad based on quality score, relevancy, bid amount and provide a place accordingly. When a users searches a query your ad is put into auction and then get a place based on these factors.

PC is an online advertising model in which advertisers can display ads for their goods or services when users – people searching for things online – enter relevant queries into search engines. Advertisers are only charged when a user actually clicks on their ad, hence the name “pay-per-click.” Due to the nature of keywords and the role they play in paid search, pay-per-click advertising can also be referred to as keyword advertising.
