If you have some basic knowledge in advance java then you have to know about advance java like html, jsp, css,EJB to use the applications of advance java, Struts is the frame work where you can use the applications of advance java and core java without writing huge coding. Advance java is used to page designing where as advance java is use to develop the functional feature of  any required applications. Now, a days newbielink:http://www.fusioninformatics.ca/iphone-application-development.html [nonactive], iPad applications are used the functions of advance java and core java.

If you have basic knowledge of Java in advance, you will need to know in advance HTML Java, JSP, CSS, EJB applications using pre-Java, Struts is a framework that can be used Java and Java code before the main without writing huge. Advance Java is used for page design, pre-use Java to develop applications necessary functional characteristics. Now, a few days newbielink: http://www.fusioninformatics.ca/iphone-application-development.html [inactive] with Ipad applications and Core Java Java function before.

If you have knowledge about core java then it is better to go on JSP - SERVLET, rather then strut hibernate. It will give base for struts and hibernate and after leaning JSP-SERVLET it is easy to learn struts hibernate.

BEST OF LUCK...
