MY

try searching for phrases instead of just one keyword and you should find more similarities. also search for blogs and forums related to your niche where there's more chance of getting back links

The aim here is not only to find websites for potential backlinks but to ensure that these websites are relevant to your keywords and your overall content.

These are some of the techniques that you can use:

1. Refine your search queries:

Google provides a variety of search operators that you can use to refine your searches. For example, you can use quotes around your keyword to find exact matches ("my keyword"), or use the 'site:' operator to search within a specific website (site:example.com). More on Google search operators can be found with a quick Google search itself.

2. Use SEO Tools:

Various SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush and Moz can be extremely helpful in refining your search. They have features to discover sites that your competitors are getting links from and find opportunities for guest posting, broken link building, and more niche-specific strategies.

3. Leverage Social Media:

Social media can be a valuable resource for finding opportunities for backlinks. Engage with your industry-specific audience on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook groups, and Twitter chats. It takes time, but being a part of conversations can lead to relationships and backlinks.

4. Use Forums and Comment Sections:

Engage in communities related to your industry. Platforms like Quora, Reddit or industry-specific forums are full of discussions where you can give relevant and valuable answers with a link to your site.

5. Email Outreach and Guest Blogging:

If you find a site that is relevant but doesn't allow for public commenting or submission, consider reaching out to the site owner via email. You can propose a guest blog post, suggest they link to your content if it's relevant and valuable, or offer a mutually beneficial collaboration.

6. Look for Resource Pages:

7. Use HARO (Help A Reporter Out):

HARO connects journalists who need sources for their stories with people who can provide that expertise. There are often opportunities to provide insights in your industry, and if your contribution is used, you could earn a valuable backlink from a high-authority website.

8. Create Skyscraper Content:

This involves finding content in your niche that is well-performing (highly shared, ranked, linked to), creating something superior, and reaching out to right people. 'Superior' can mean more thorough, more up-to-date, better designed, more practical, etc.

9. Create Infographics:

Infographics are highly shareable, and there are many websites that want to share high-quality infographics with their audience. You can create a compelling infographic that adds value and shares it with relevant websites.

10. Monitor Competitor Backlinks:

There are various tools like SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs that can do a backlink analysis. If you find a backlink to a competitor's site, there's a good chance that website may be interested in linking to similar content on your site as well.

11. Sponsorships or Partnerships:

This might include events, local clubs, meetups, influencers, or industry associations. Sometimes these opportunities will be paid, so consider your ROI.

12. Broken Link Building:

This strategy involves finding relevant broken links on other websites and suggesting they replace the broken link with a link to a relevant page on your site.

13. Business Directories or Local Listings:

If you're a local business, claiming your listings on local directory sites like Google My Business, Yelp, and others can provide backlinks to your site.

14. Link Reclaiming:

Monitor the web for mentions of your brand and reach out to request a link where your brand is mentioned without one.

15. Testimonials:

Consider offering testimonials for products or services you use and love. Brands often showcase testimonials on their site and include a link back to you.

16. Collaborate with Influencers or Bloggers:

Depending on your industry, working with influencers or bloggers can be an effective way to gain high-quality backlinks. Collaborations can take different forms - from sponsored posts, product reviews to webinars. Always ensure that the blogger or influencer is well-regarded and has a genuine audience.

17. Use Link Roundups:

Link roundups are daily, weekly, or monthly blog posts that link to outstanding content. To find them, you can use Google search, using strings like "keyword" + "link roundup" or "keyword" + "best of". Once you've found relevant roundups, you can pitch your high-quality content to the curator.

18. Leverage News Aggregators:

Submit your content to news aggregators like AllTop, Feedly, or Flipboard. It can help you get more exposure and potentially backlinks if your content gets picked up.

19. Use Q&A websites:

Aside from forums, there are multiple Q&A websites like Quora, StackExchange, or Yahoo Answers where you can help people by answering their questions and linking back to your content for detailed explanation.

20. Scholarships or Grants:

If you're able to offer a scholarship or grant (even if it's relatively small), you could get some links from .edu domains. Many schools link to scholarships and grants for their students, and these links can have a lot of authority.

21. Webinars and Podcasts:

Hosting or participating in webinars, podcasts, online courses, or live Q&A sessions can also bring some backlink opportunities. They can be linked on other industry blogs and websites, and on resources like YouTube or podcast platforms.

Like another member said, search "phrases" in Google AdWords Keyword Tool and you should get more similar results, compared to a broad search.

stunning boy

it is not necessary to find the exact sites for backlinks try some different niche cause the same keywords sites are also you competitors so it won't link to you

What i always do is look at my competition.

Use a backlinktool to look what backlinks they have and try to get the same links that all your competition has.

Hi,

I would suggest, you start doing forums and blog posting on high PR sites and be specific with your keywords.
