Can I Put Hyperlink in Header Tags?
« on: 12-24-2015, 06:23:52 »
I know that we can use H1-H6 header tags in a webpage. In that h1 tag should be used once & h2-h6 can be used any number of times. I want to know is it proper to use hyperlink in h1-h6 tags? Is it OK from SEO point of view to use Hyperlinks in Header Tags? Please share your views.

Yes you can use hyperlinks in header tags, but it is not very helpful as header tags describe the heading of a content. Hyperlinks can be done in the content body to drive traffic to other webpages.

The LINK element may only appear in the head of a document. ... they should at least warn the user that the document will be unreadable and explain the cause. .... The id attribute may be used to create an anchor at the start tag of any element.

A header tag, more commonly referred, is a part of the hypertext markup language, or HTML. It tells the browser program (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and the search engines that it contains important information and sums up the following paragraph.
