Change SEO in 2011
« on: 01-03-2011, 04:47:36 »
Hi All,

I've read some changes in SEO 2011..!
1. Microsoft will make numerous updates to Bing and strongly integrate a social aspect into this (such as the recent Facebook integration)
2. Google will use CTR in their algorithm. Bing already uses this.
3. The Local Search business will increase and more sites will optimise for local sites.
4. Google will begin to use certain nofollow links for ranking sites.
5. More SEO blog posts will include data analysis.
6. SEO optimisation will go beyond mobile and web. It will move to Google TV/Apple TV, videos and audio etc.
7. Microsoft will be more accepted in the SEO World.

1) Social media and SEO are great lovers in 2011! With Google already search through Twitter and Bing likes all 'like' to your Facebook, search engines are becoming social media such as rash, so keep your eyes fixed on them.
2) Classification of messages is the reason behind any significant change, and there will be changes.
3) Once the Googles obsession with performance, that would mean changing something to do with that area.

At the start of the year we famously saw JC Penney and overstock.com severely punished for black hat SEO practices before the first rollout of the Google Panda. The Panda update in February became the first major development of the year and one of the most talked about changes of recent years.

There have been several updates of Google Panda since February but none as severe as the first – by and large, the efforts of honest online marketing campaigns have not been adversely affected.
