Hello,

I'm going to start a New website and was concerned about Choosing the domain,
I was actually looking to buy a Domain Name which has my Keyword.

For Example: If My main keyword is (buildahouse)

And If I have these choices to use as domain :

Builda"smart"house
Buildahouse"wisely"
"lets"Buildahouse

Can I go with these domains and still be keyword friendly.
My concern here is being my Keyword buildahouse, Will it make any difference if I have an Extra word in the Domain name, which is not relevant to the keyword or just separates the Keyword.
Can I have a domain like "buildasmarthouse" and still be friendly with the keyword "buildahouse".
I'm worried about this because all the Top placed websites for my keyword have exactly matching keywords in there Domain name.

Thank you for your concern

I think, you should pick [Buildahouse"wisely"] because your keyword is coming at first. Keyword sequence does matter in domain name and URL. You should try to use EXTRA word synonyms of house(if possible). Using completely different EXTRA word misguide search engines and visitors as well.

Remember, EMD(Exact Match Domain) is little bit helpful to get fast ranking. There are lots of popular sites that do not have keywords in domain but are on top in SERP for different keywords. Example: Moz.com

I dont thin this could have so many importance, while u have the keyword in the domain, i think the rest is better when have less content extra, so the domain power center in the keyword in google search

It depends on what you're trying to do with the website.

If this is a churn and burn project for you then going for an EMD or PMD may give you a little boost.

If this is actually going to be a sustainable property which you're not planning on spamming out of existence then use a brand name and build around that brand.'

Either way you shouldn't be sweating so much over having your keyword in the domain name, it's not nearly as beneficial as it used to be and creates a poor UX.

If I were you and I need to choose within any of these options I would go for the third one. "lets"Buildahouse

I'm sure, you should pick [Buildahouse"wisely"] due to the fact your keyword is coming to begin with. Keyword sequence does matter in website name and URL. You should seek to use EXTRA word synonyms connected with house(if possible). Using completely different EXTRA word misguide search engines and visitors as well.

Keep in mind, EMD(Exact Match Domain) is small amount helpful to get fast rating. There are lots of popular sites that do not need keywords in domain but are ahead in SERP for different search phrases.
