 Hi Friends,

Static Websites

A static site is a website that is written entirely using HTML. Each web page is a separate document and there are no databases or external files that are drawn upon.

This means that the only way to edit this type of website is to go into each page and edit the HTML. So you would have to do it yourself using a web page editor such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver, or pay your web developer to make updates for you.

Dynamic Websites

A dynamic website is written using more complex code — such as PHP or ASP — and has a greater degree of functionality. For instance, many dynamic websites can be controlled by a content management system. This means that you will potentially be able to make updates without needing any knowledge of HTML or any website software.

Each page of a dynamic website is generated from information stored in a database or external file. And the content management system that you may use to maintain your website directly modifies this stored information.

Thanks and Regards
 Richard Smith

Static websites are quick and cheap to develop and cheap to host also while dynamic sites on the other hand can be more expensive to develop initially but it has numerous advantages over static websites.

Static sites can just only truly be updated by someone with an understanding of site development. Static sites would be the cheapest to sponsor and build up, and several smaller businesses still use these to obtain a website. Dynamic sites on the other hand can be more expensive to develop initially, but the advantages are numerous. At a basic level, a dynamic website can give the website owner the ability to simply update and add new content to the site.

Static websites are the most affordable to develop and host, and many smaller organizations still use these to get a web presence. Static websites are quick to develop and not more expensive.

Dynamic websites have far more functionality and overall flexibility. Their initial set up is more complex and uses more complex coding types such as PHP or ASP.

Static website needs low cost to develop, quick to host and quick to develop, but it also need a web developer to update the site, content may stagnant and site not as useful for the user.

Dynamic websites are much more functional, much easier to update and new content brings people redirects to the site and helps in the search engine. The main drawbacks is it is much slower and more expensive to develop.
