|On Page SEO refers to the controllable internal factors which affect the ranking of your website such as the coding and accessibility of your website. For example, title tag, description, keywords, links, images and alt tags, text emphasis and other web page elements.

Off Page SEO Refers to optimization strategies outside of your website's design such as link building with authoritative sites with relevant content.

The difference between on-page and off-page factors in your SEO plan is fairly straightforward. On-page is whatever you can do within your site, and most traditional SEO techniques fall into this category. Things such as keyword placement, meta tags, your URLs, internal links and quality content are regular on-page factors in an SEO plan. Off-page is everything you do outside your site to draw attention to it, usually hinging on the links you can get.

 Hello Guys,

On-Page SEO is the process of ensuring that the search engines understand what your page is about. This is done by structuring the page around a Keyword so that when that Keyword is typed into the search box your page is seen by the search engines as highly relevant.

Off-Page SEO is the process of convincing the search engines that other people see your site as useful/relevant. The factors the search engines look at include the number of links to your site, the anchor text used on these links and the authority of the sites giving these links.

Off Page is when you push/market your site to other channels such as

Submitting videos to Youtube
Create Scribd, Slide Share account
Create accounts on web 2.0: Posterous, Squidoo, Tumblr, Wordpress, Blogspot, Weebly, Wikia, Wetpaint, Wikispaces, Zimbio, Skyrock
Then manually submit unique versions of your article to each one.

On Page is when you fix your website itself like

Putting keyword, meta, descriptions, optimizing your images, etc

this forum has been helpful to me as well. try checking out http://samuraisseo.com as well. It also helped me a lot

SEO has traditionally divided into two main areas;
on-page optimisation which covers what can be done on the pages of the website itself, and
off-page optimisation which covers activity that takes place elsewhere (e.g. link-building). :)

There is a huge difference between the On page optimization and Of page optimization. On page optimization involve creating the meta titles, description and keyword where as off page optimization involve creating the back links for the website by posting the forum, blog and articles. According to Orange County SEO companies  both activity is extremely important for getting the high rank in the search engines....
