Hgpromo.org is a PR7 and is on the top for the term "Hostgator Coupon" and his Domain is only 7 Months old. Most of the Competitors have domains 2 and 3 years old.
Matt Cutts from Google has stated himself Domain age is not a very important factor at all. Watch the video on youtube.
Look at the SERP:
  • Hgpromo.org has PR6 really, and its for main page! None of lower competitors except hostgatorcoupon4you.com has the same keyword on the main. So its simply more relevant.
  • 3d hostgatorcoupon4you.com can be a little bit filtered for spam in domain name
  • Sure Hgpromo.org has better user behavior params
  • I see a lot of differences in inbound links and anchors for 2nd and 3d places
and so on, just in that case other seo params are much stronger, moreover <3 years is not as big age as 5 for instance. Look http://www.mdahosting.com/hostgator-coupon/. Its 2004 in Webarch! Nothing or almost nothing can pull it out.

Also, excepting the domain age, we should see the age of content. In most cases we understand this the same as domain age. But its no so. And there is another topic for speech

which means older domains may have a slight advantage. However, this is only true if the older domain has a good reputation.

I just look at it this way. If I was Google why would I put so much weight on Domain age when there are other younger Domains that have way better content and a better user experience. See what bothers me is new people go out and buy and aged Domain and pay more money for it for no reason really.

If new domain succeeds to have much better content and better user experience than domain's seo params are stronger than just the opponent's age. That's clear. But if advantage is not big enough age plays very important role. Sometimes its a good idea to start with buying good aged domain, especially in high-competitive niche

And if I was google:
I have no trust to new domains. I should be confident that domain is not made for links selling, that website will be moderated and have actual and useful content. Some time should pass for understanding this.
I will take money from ad serve anyway, but SERP must be ideal

So I need the answer of this question, Does domain age help?
Domain age is the age of a website it can be calculated if you know creation date and the date when the domain expires. If you want to find the creation and expiry date of particular website visit Whoisxy.com here you can find Whois search service which display some details about that particular domain like domain ownership, creation date ,expiry date etc...

Older domain can bring along a history. That history can include things that make the domain more valuable and could make a website associated with it more successful from the onset.Domains can change hands many times, getting parked, used for websites and sold again. Provided the back links are not dropped over time, they come along with a domain. A domain that had been a website at some point can bring along some good quality links. Along with those links comes domain authority and trust.

The popular belief has been that older domains do better in search results and are given extra favor due to their age. The idea is that an older domain that has been established has earned a greater level of trust with Google than a younger domain that is not as established. Matt admits that this is true to a point, but domain age is an insignificant factor that really carries very little weight in the Google algorithm.

Domain authority is based on a lot of factors, like your domain age, how many backlinks are pointing to your website and how authoritative those sites are. You can increased DA by backlinking to High Domain Authority websites.

So, my answer is yes domain age help you ranking high somewhere along with quality content, relevancy etc.
