Hello everyone,

My father passed away a year ago, and I have since taken over the family business. He knew everything SEO, but now I am trying to play catch up. So my question is this:

I have a company word press website that has been active since 2012. I am essentially wanting to create a new website locally on my computer using bitnami, and then replace all my content online with the new bitnami website and make that the new site. I would not be changing the Domain URL.

Would I lose my rankings with google? Would I be bumped to the bottom of search pages? Would it take weeks to be re-indexed even if I provide a site index to the Google Search Console? Currently I am ranked about 25 on general searches, but locally (state) I am usually ranked 3rd or 4th in the organic searches.

My old website is just so clunky and doesn't meet the needs of my business, but I don't want to have to start from square one with google all over again.

Thank You for any help you can provide.

You can redesign the website, change images, remove the old content or modification, and must be sure your websites in user friendly like desktop, mobile, and tablet visibility.
