If you want quick results its better to go for PPC , but it is expensive. Or else you can go for this as mentioned below
Apply Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to your e-commerce website.
Start and maintain a blog that relates to your e-commerce website.
Find forums related to your e-commerce website.Participate regularly in forum discussions.
Add your website to Google Places and other directories if your business has a physical location.
Look for other websites related to your e-commerce site. Ask the site owner if they would like to link to your website.
Use the power of social networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook, to share your e-commerce website with others.
Ask existing customers to tell their friends about your website. In exchange, offer a discount on a future purchase .

If you want to promote your website at low cost then instead of going for PPC, try to create backlinks with the methods like forum posting, article submissions, blog commenting and blog commenting on sites with your niche.

there are several ways to promote an e-commerce website:

1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Optimize your website content and structure to improve visibility on search engines like Google.

2. Social Media Marketing: Utilize platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to engage with potential customers and drive traffic to your website.

3. Email Marketing: Build an email list and send out targeted campaigns to promote new products, special offers, and more.

11. Mobile Optimization: Ensure your website is mobile-friendly and consider developing a dedicated mobile app to reach customers who prefer to shop on their smartphones.

12. Remarketing Campaigns: Reach out to users who have visited your website but haven't made a purchase by retargeting them with personalized ads across various platforms.

13. Community Engagement: Engage with online communities, forums, and social groups related to your industry to build brand awareness and trust.

14. Content Collaboration: Collaborate with industry influencers, bloggers, or content creators to produce engaging and shareable content that promotes your products.

15. Local SEO: If you have a physical location, optimize your website for local search to attract nearby customers looking for your products or services.

16. User-Generated Content: Encourage customers to share their experiences with your products through reviews, photos, and videos on social media, creating authentic and relatable content.

19. Cross-Selling and Upselling: Implement strategies to recommend related or upgraded products to customers, increasing the average order value and customer satisfaction.

20. Free Samples or Trials: Offer free samples, trials, or demos of your products to attract new customers and allow them to experience the quality firsthand.

21. Referral Programs: Incentivize existing customers to refer friends and family to your website by offering rewards or discounts for successful referrals.

22. Storytelling and Brand Identity: Build a strong brand identity and communicate your brand's story through compelling content to connect with customers on an emotional level.
