How long does it take for google to recognize backlinks?

Does anyone have any idea how long does it take for Google to recognize backlinks ? Can any one answer it for me?

It depends on your that webpage value where you put your link, if that webpage has high PR and lots of traffic then Google bots crawl that webpage with in 5 to 7 days (not exact) otherwise it totally depends on Google bots that when they crawl that webpage and after that your link be recognized by Google. So concentrate on quality links.

Once Google crawl your website, it adds the backlinks in its link graph to future crawling. After crawling Google gives website credit of backlinks.

If your backlinks come from good quality (good according to Google) sites then only Google lists them and better quality links take very less time to appear I have seen Google pick up links for my site in less the 4 days. Normally, it will take about 1-2 weeks to get the effect of your backlinks. However, if you can get backlinks from high traffic pages or sites, Google normally used to visit those sites very frequently.

Only after crwawling google will consider backlinks

it depends on the site, good sites gets crawled few times a day, weaker sites gets crawled once in couple days/week
