There is no fixed number of visitors for a good website.. You can't say a good website have 5000 visitors per day, no matter how many of them actually get converted into leads.

A good conversion rate with satisfying ROI is more important for your website.

Depend on the website if you have simple website offering your services and products then 1k to 3k initial visitors are OK for that and if you have a E commerce website and selling products online then about more than 50k initial visitors are required.

well it varies from site to site some site have 1 k visitors which is enough to them on the other hand one site have 10 k visitors which is not satisfying it.

there is no fixed numbers to know ,but here is my opinion is that you should writhe something very interesting ,and then some one want to have a look in your website .and so on .
