How to prevent the Anti SEO (Fake Traffic from the main keyword)?

our website is getting fake traffic from the main keyword where we are on the first page on Google.

I have never seen such attack to us before and this is new for us. We believe some people making anti SEO and this is how they are doing. Fake traffic from the main keyword on the first page. They are not doing this every day but at least a few days in a week and the average time on website is fairly low.

I believe this fake traffic with a very low average time from the first page position keyword makes us lose our position?

What do you think? And do you know how to prevent this or how to take precautions? Should we report this to Google from GWT panel?

Yes I do agree that there are website which is generating traffic through some other mean. But in one or other way they are not beneficial for long term. If we just follow white hat SEO will help and can bit such competitor.

Any traffic coming from a search engine will be considered as organic traffic. Hence, one does not need to worry about whether the traffic is fake or not, eventually, one will get higher CTR. If the CTR is high, then there is no worry as CTR is given more weightage by the search engines. In case if the bounce rate is extremely high as compared to the CTR then there is cause for concern.
