It's not difficult.

Perform keyword research using a tool such as MajesticSEO, SemRush or a free alternative such as Google Keyword Planner. Look for high monthly searches and low competition keywords (long tail keywords). For example "how to make money" is not a good idea. So, instead, go for long tails keywords such as "how to make money in London"

Write your text and include your exact match keyword in the title as well as in the first paragraph and in one subheading.

Also, you can include the keyword in the image alt tag of one picture in that post.

That's all I do and I am able to rank many keywords on the first page.

this is too broad question... It would be like me asking how to play soccer like average English premiership player...

There is whole science behind ranking a keyword. If you would make an effort to ask about particular segment of keyword ranking then I could help more.

If I was to answer your question... I would say then:

Research KWs, find the one with reasonable amount of traffic and lower competition\
make and execute a backlink strategy to push your KW to the top

It is easy to rank on particular keyword,

You have to do keyword research and find longtails keywords
Add your keyword to your website on page content, meta title, meta description
Do a high-value off page activity like guest post, forum post, video post and more

It depends on several points.

1. You have to do a strong on-page.
2. Use your keywords in meta tags, like meta title, meta description and meta keywords.
3. Put your keywords in URL.
4. Maintain proper keyword density on the web page content.
5. Your site should be responsive.

- Do keyword research.
- Choose long tail keywords.
- Do proper on-page SEO.
- Do link building activities like - Guest Posting, Blog Commenting, Article Submission, etc.
- Add your keywords in meta tags.
- Create quality content and put your keyword in the content.

In order to rank a particular keyword in Google follow the given below steps.

1. Do proper Keyword research and analysis based on your niche, based on the competition,

2. Write Articles and blog posts with properly targeted keywords and proper keyword placement.

3. Work on Link building based on the anchor Text you can use your keyword as anchor text. Also make use of Long tail keywords to rank for.

4. Make use of Latent Semantic Indexing and similar keywords as they have higher chances of ranking.

5. Also look for Keyword difficulty and competition while selecting a keyword.
