Is seo is enough for a site to get ranked?are bookmarking and directories really help in ranking as well as indexing ?I dont think so as one of my law site is not ranking well since past 3 months instead of lots of efforts in both on page and off page seo . Suggest some tips .also tell me whether google+ business pages helps in indexing or not ?

Your niche is competitive... Its not easy to rank for it.

Forget about ranking and try to get traffic from different sources like blogging, forum posting, content distribution etc.

Or try to target some less competitive and long tail keywords in the niche.

As far indexing is concerned, here are some tips,
- Submit your Sitemap to the search engine
- Submit you RSS feeds
- Submit your website to social bookmarking website
- Get backlinks from website which frequently get crawled
- Use fetch as Googlebot tool

SEO is not just relying on few backlnking methods. It is a very vast field that you can still discover new things to make your site ranked in search engines.

in terms  of off page i am currently doing the following :-

  • Directory submission
  • Bookmarking
  • Article submission
  • blog commenting
  • Forum posting
  • Link exchange(Only reciprocal)
  • Classifieds

SEO is not all you should focus your efforts on.

Focus on content and ways to optimise your pages to get visitors to do what you want them to, whether that is to subscribe, purchase or become a returning visitor of some sort.
