Structured data is used to make your website's rich snippets more attractive to increase the CTR on SERP. But it doesn't affect any type on impact on PR as google has officially shutdown it PR tool.

I have seen no evidence of it directly affecting it but it's a way to further optimize so just doing it shouldnt hurt. It could help your ctr which eventually leads to other ranking factors so indirectly, yeah, it could help SEO.

Using structured data will act as a bonus and help search better understand and present your web page information. This can drive more clicks.

However, structured data errors or missing structured data doesn't affect your page rank in search results. If there are structured data errors, google will simply ignore your structured data and display the usual meta description
