Keyword Density

How many times should you repeat a keyword in say every 100 words? I heard repeating a keyword too many times can actually have a bad affect (spamming).

Keyword density is a ratio, how many times you use a keyword in your webpage.
It is standard 3%-5%. If you use more then the limit, it will come in Keyword stuffing and it is s Black Hat SEO technique and Search Engines are not allow it.

In my point of view the keyword density ration should be 2 to 3%. Using keyword density more than this ultimately count as keyword stuffing and is not good as per ethical SEO point of view as earlier said by Zorbis.

Hey friend,

Keyword density refers to the ratio of keywords contained within the total number of index-able words within a web page. Keyword density is important because search engines use this information to categorize a site's theme, and to determine which terms the site is relevant to. The perfect keyword density will help achieve higher search engine positions.

Best Regards

Keyword Density is one of the important factors of SEO strategy. So it becomes necessary to keep the density of keyword accurate and appropriate i.e. it should be according to the rules of Webmaster. Keyword Density means a percentage of times a keyword or key phrase appears in the content compared to other words in the content of the web page.

Keyword density must be within 3 to 5 percent of total words. Beyond that limit seems to be keyword stuffing.

The keyword density ratio should be 2-3%. There is no advantage of using more keywords because then it is count as keyword stuffing which is unethical.

Hi Maddy
You are right repeating keyword too many times is not Good.
But for Keyword Density Tania is right, keyword Density must be 3% to 4% not more than that, It means that if you are writing 100 words, You can write your targeted keyword 3 times or 4 times.
If you are using it more than it, You might be counted as a Spammer.

 Hello Friends,

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.

Thanks and Regards
