Pick your industry in interest to position and find your industry-standard loading time to see if you should increase your website speed. While the average of the values in the table is 8.66 sec, the proposal for 2018 is to be under 3 seconds.

Nothing like ideal time but if it's under 3 seconds, it is good else users may leave the site due to high page load time.

Page load time is the average amount of time (in seconds) for the pages of the entire sample load, triggering the page (eg click on a page link) at the end of load in the browser . If you see zero (0) as a value or a small increase in November 2011, read the article About site speed.

According to Google recommendations, ideal page load time for a website to load should be less than or up to 3 seconds for both mobile and desktop devices. However, the search engine expert says, the current average load time for a web page to load on a mobile device is 22 seconds.

Let’s take a look at statistics derived from the 2020 Google/SOASTA Research team:

1-3 Second Page Load Time – 32% bounce rate increase
1-5 Second Page Load Time – 90% bounce rate increase
1-6 Second Page Load Time – 106% bounce rate increase
1-10 Second Page Load Time – 123% bounce rate increase
As you can see, even when staying within the 3 seconds or less duration, the probability of a visitor leaving your website is a whopping 32%, that’s a substantial figure.
