I do not think its useful to submit site in several search engines.You can submit in three major search engine(google, bing, yahoo).

Hey friend search engine submission is not mandatory because it mean submit our website direct in search engine for easy and soon crawling but if you will not do it then your website also crawl by search engine so this is not compulsory..
