Submitting xml to hostgator

Hello everyone !!! Did you sign up for free website from hostgator?I did but i want to know how to submit xml file and robots.txt to the domain  server ?also i need to know how yo upload verification code to the server.Its a static site and we can add pages on it .Although i made a page named sitemap and created a  html sitemap but i need to upload xml also .post your suggestions here
