Suggestions on Footer links
« on: 11-01-2011, 02:31:50 »
Hi Guys,

I have web hosting company, and i am trying to gain some back links. What i am trying to do is create a footer with links to web related services other than web hosting, like design, development, graphics, marketing etc.

Now, i seek your opinion on this format of gaining back links to my site. Also, what all should be taken care of in implementing such idea and the affects it may have on the web site as a whole?

Well, footer links are considered in a different way than editorial links...

I found this interesting Matt Cutts's video over this issue.

Other than placing web related service as footer links you can also use your brand name with your service as footer link

- Keep your footer clean, concise and readable. Avoid flashy graphics and fonts. Make sure that you can read the font over the background color and be clear what is and what is not a link.
- Keep with standard conventions when choosing how to make your links appear to your users.
