"Black hat" SEO refers to practices that violate search engine guidelines in an attempt to get higher search rankings. They are considered unethical and may result in penalties from search engines, including getting your site blacklisted. Here are some of the common black hat SEO techniques:

Keyword Stuffing: Overusing keywords in the content or in hidden text to trick search engines.

Invisible Text or Hidden Text: Setting the color of the text to be the same as the background so that it's not visible to users but can be seen by search engines. This is often used to stuff keywords.

Cloaking: Serving one version of a page to search engine spiders/bots and another version to human visitors. This is done to deceive search engines to rank the page higher.

Doorway Pages: Creating low-quality pages that sometimes contain very little relevant content but are instead overloaded with keywords. These pages usually redirect visitors to a different page.

Duplicate Content: Copying content from other websites to increase the amount of content on your own site.

Article Spinning: Rewriting existing articles, and often using article spinning software, to avoid duplicate content penalties.

Link Farms, Link Networks, or Link Wheels: These are a group of websites that all hyperlink to every other site in the group, aiming to increase the backlinks of each site. This results in an attempt to trick the search engines into ranking the sites higher.

Negative SEO: Trying to harm a competitor's search engine ranking, typically by generating low-quality backlinks to their site.

Private Blog Networks (PBNs): Building networks of blogs all controlled by the individual to aid them in link building.

Buying Links: Some websites sell backlink opportunities, which is against Google's Guidelines.

Social Media Automation and Fake Followers: Automating social media posting, and generating fake followers to give the appearance of social media popularity.

Rich Snippet Markup Spam: Misusing schema markup to spam the search results with rich snippets.

Cyber-squatting or Domain Squatting: Registering, selling or using a domain name with the intent to profit from someone else's trademark.

Comment Spamming: Posting irrelevant comments or links on blogs, forums, guest books, etc. to generate backlinks.

Content Automation: Generating content by automated means, usually results in poor quality content that doesn't provide much value to users.

Scraping: This involves copying content from other sites and publishing it on your own without permission.

Clickbait: This involves misleading titles and descriptions to attract more clicks, which could lead to a high bounce rate and penalties from Google.

Sneaky Redirects: Showing a different page to users than what search engines see or redirecting users from a page that's been ranked by search engines to another unrelated one.

URL Hijacking: This is a form of cybersquatting where a URL similar to a popular one, misspellings, or old sites are used to trick users.

Mirroring: This involves making a copy of a site under a different URL.

Typosquatting or URL Hijacking: Registering domains that are misspellings or typographical errors of popular sites or brands to trick users.

Pingback Spam: Manipulating the pingback feature of WordPress to create a ton of linkbacks.

Cookie Stuffing or Cookie Dropping: Placing an affiliate marketing cookie on a user's computer in hopes of getting credited for sales in the future, even if the user never clicked on your affiliate link.

Creating Malware-Infected Pages: This is not just black hat, it's illegal. It involves creating pages with malware to infect visitors' devices.

Geo-Targeting or IP Delivery: Providing different content based on the IP address or location of the request. This can be seen as a form of cloaking if it serves different content to search engines compared to users.

Parasite Hosting: Posting your content or website on a high-authority domain without the owner's permission, in order to leverage their high domain authority.

Over-optimized Anchors: Overusing a specific anchor text for all your backlinks can signal to Google that you're trying to manipulate search results.

Spun or Thin Content: Creating low-quality content that brings little to no value to the user.

Automated Querying: Sending automated queries to Google to determine rankings or to try and trigger algorithm changes.

Google Bombing: This manipulative tactic involves using anchor text spam to influence the search results for a particular keyword or phrase, often for humorous or satirical ends.

Keyword Stuffing in Image Alts: While it is recommended to use alt tags for images with relevant keywords, overdoing it is a black hat technique.

De-indexing Competitor's Websites: This involves an attempt at getting competitor's sites removed from Google using various manipulation tactics, such as reporting them for spam or hаcking their sites to violate Google's guidelines.

Hiding Affiliate Links: Undeclared affiliate links in your code can violate Google's guidelines if not transparently declared to users.

Fake News or Hoax: Spreading false information to generate traffic. This manipulative tactic can harm your website's trustworthiness and E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, Trustworthiness) score.

Using Irrelevant Keywords: Inserting unrelated high traffic keywords into a page for the sole purpose of generating traffic, but harming user experience as a result.

Trackback Spam: Much like Comment Spamming, this involves spamming other blogs with your trackback links, regardless of the relevance or adding any meaningful discussion to the content.

Again, these practices are considered unethical by search engines and could easily lead to penalties, or even your website being delisted from search results. Employing white hat SEO techniques, such as quality content creation, effective keyword research, and natural link building, is the recommended approach to improve your website's search engine rankings while also providing valuable content to your visitors.
