Breadcrumb navigation is wonderful for usability and for SEO. This text-based navigation shows where in the site hierarchy the currently viewed web page is located and your location within the site, while providing shortcuts to instantly jump higher up the site hierarchy.

Bread crumbs can look like this:

Home-->Computing & Technology-->Web Search

Breadcrumbs are a navigation tool that can help lead you where you want to go within a website or lead you back to a previous page. Having them integrated into your site helps users find their way around. It can also helps search engines like Google sift through your information and rank you higher based on what's there.

Breadcrumbs provide links back to each previous page the user navigated through to get to the current page or—in hierarchical site structures—the parent pages of the current one. Breadcrumbs provide a trail for the user to follow back to the starting or entry point. This text-based navigation shows where in the site hierarchy the currently viewed web page is located and your location within the site, while providing shortcuts to instantly jump higher up the site hierarchy.

Hi Friends,

A website navigation technique. Bread crumbs typically appear horizontally near the top of a Web page, providing links back to each previous page that the user navigates through in order to get to the current page. Basically, they provide a trail for the user to follow back to the starting/entry point of a website and may look something like this:

home page --> section page --> sub section page

Thanks and Regards

Breadcrumbs typically appear horizontally across the top of a web page, usually below title bars or headers. They provide links back to each previous page the user navigated through to get to the current page or in hierarchical site structures the parent pages of the current one.

You should know that Google sometimes use the breadcrumbs links as rich snippets in the SERPs.
