Sentences that occur one after the other are consecutive. That is the definition of "consectitive".

This is sentence one. This is sentence two. This is sentence three. This is sentence four.

Sentence one, two and three are consecutive. Sentence two, three and four are consecutive.

Sentence one, two and four are not consecutive (although sentence one and two without four ARE consecutive).

It has nothing at all to do with SEO, but that is what consecutive means.

I figured it was probably something from Yoast or a tool like it.

I would just ignore it. Yoast cannot determine readability.
Consecutive sentences has nothing to do with SEO. That sounds like a grammar problem.
