Hi,
The tags you are talking about is helpful in SEO:
1) alt tag - Spiders don't understand images, for them you have to use a catchy text that will have at least one keyword.

2) H1 tag - The search spider will search for the keywords, and if it will be found in title and main heading, then it will give you a chance to be considered as a search result.

3) Meta tags -  like description can be used to describe the whole page in a precise way.
