      What the best non-partisan search engine?

Google is non-partisan. I know you don't want to talk about algorithms, but it's important to note, because Google is by far the largest, with the largest result set. If you use another engine, understand that you'll miss some stuff.

The only other engines I know of that have a large enough index to be useful are Bing and DuckDuckGo.

Neither one has any partisan leanings that I know of. DuckDuckGo has the added benefit that they don't track your use, at all.
