No follow and do follow both are the type of tag which we use in On page optimization for link visibility purpose. Search engine crawler can't crawl no follow tag but the use can see that link whereas do follow tag is reliable and beneficial for a site. Search engine  can crawl and use can see link with do follow tag.

Hey,

There are two types of backlinks:

1. NoFollow is a value assigned to the rel attribute to instruct the search engines that URL should not link targets ranking in the SERP Results. This type of links does not help in search engine ranking, but might help fetching visitors to the site

2.DoFollow is a value assigned to the rel attribute to instruct the search engines that url can link target's ranking in the serp results. This type of links helps in gaining visitor as well as ranking on SERP.

A no follow link is a link that does not count as a point in the page's favor, does not boost PageRank, and doesn't help a page's placement in the SERPs.and .DoFollow is a value assigned to the rel attribute to instruct the search engines that url can link target's ranking in the serp results. This type of links helps in gaining visitor as well as ranking on SERP.

Dofollow means search engine follow that specific link and Nofollow means search engine does not follow that link.
For dofollow html code will be <a href="http://www.websitename.com">Linked Text</a>
For nofollow html code will be <a href="http://www.websitename.com" rel="nofollow">Linked Text</a>

but don't forget that both of them are usefull for a good goodle ranking : if u have only dofollow links google will think that they are "false" links and you will not get all of the advantages you could have had from them, so try to have a good mix of do and no follow links

Search engine follow and count dofollow links but can not follow or count nofollow links. If you want to know which links are dofollow or nofollow then you can add a plug-in at mozilla firefox which is no follow checker.

When you drop a link in website, then that link has two attributes, one is no follow and another one is do follow. Do follow links are the one which gets crawled by the search engine bots, while No follow are the one which don't get crawled. This is important for the indexing as if they are no follow then they will not get indexed easily.

Do follow is hyperlink inclusion that tells search engines to pass on any credibility or influence to an outbound link. When Google bot visits a website it reads website pages and includes links with do follow attribute and excludes link with no follow attribute. Nofollow is html tag that website owners, add to links in their website for the search engines not to crawl, notice, or acknowledge a link. While a nofollow link is ignored, but popular social networking site like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace sites are nofollow, but they do provide a lot of other benefits.
