When it comes to boosting traffic to your website, you have two basic options: pay-per-click (PPC) advertising or search engine optimization (SEO). You can pay for traffic using the PPC advertising programs provided by Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and others

Organizations of all sizes are realizing the importance of online marketing, especially through search engines. Nowadays, people are more likely to end up on your website via a search engine than going directly to it. In fact, according to Jupiter Research, a Forrester Research company, 81% of users find their desired destination through a search engine.

This research makes it clear that it's very important for your brand to have a strong presence in the search engines, ensuring that you're in front of your target audience. However, there's still a big decision to make - whether to use SEO (Search Engine Optimization, or naturally ranking high in the organic results) or PPC (Pay-Per-Click ads, the Sponsored Links and purchased ads on a Google search) to get in front of your target?

Done correctly, both can get you on the front page of the search engines for targeted terms and in front of your desired audience. However, each has its respective benefits and costs. SEOmoz, a great SEO resource, recently published an article by the team at Enquisite quantifying the effectiveness of SEO vs. PPC.

The article details that organic results are 8.5x more likely to be clicked on than paid search results! That's a large disparity and is likely attributed to searchers gradually learning the difference between organic and sponsored results, and recognizing that organic results are typically the more respected resource. Also, researchers have used heat maps to show that searchers' eyes focus on the top organic results, with people barely noticing the ads to the right.

However, PPC holds a slight edge in conversion rates, as paid search results are 1.5x more likely to convert click thrus from the search engine. The SEOmoz article attributes, to the fact that the paid search result's "text and landing page is custom optimized by the advertiser."

Hello

Both are beneficial. But when you want instant traffic, increase sale of your products of your website, want to boost the ROI of your business then PPC is beneficial for your business. Whereas in SEO  you will get the long time organic results in a few months. So I will recommend you SEO.

It's totally depends on what you needed. if you wants fast leads and have some good budget than ppc will work great for you.

But if you wants good results for the long time and have a good time worth waiting than seo is the option you should go for. so it's not like that which is better. they both are better but on their places.

It depends on your needs and budget. If you want more traffic fast and are willing to pay for it, then PPC might be right for you. But if you're operating on a shoestring budget, it may make more sense to invest time in chasing high search rankings through SEO.

You can pay for traffic using the PPC advertising programs provided by Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and others.
Alternatively, you can build traffic for free by achieving high rankings in the natural search results.

It all depends.  What are your goals, budget & timeline?

SEO Pros & Cons:
SEO often cost less then PPC (if you are using an agency) as there is no ad spend
SEO is a long term strategy, don't expect rapid gains
SEO can be less volatile then PPC
SEO can provide more long term value

PPC Pros & Cons:
PPC can provide rapid short term gains
PPC is often much more expensive due to CPC costs
CPC costs continue to increase as more advertisers become involved
PPC can provide much more focused and targeted results

I hope this helps.

Google Adwords ad anyway, while the natural results are not the advertising results. It is therefore not surprising that the proportion of customers choosing these results "natural" many times higher than Google Adwords Advertising chosen. Here are some statistics you can help shape the role of SEO:
* 86% of search results select the most natural the advertising results.
* 70% of people looking for immediate looking at natural results (the study of the operation of the eye when searching).
* According to another survey: 78% of respondents found information from AdWords advertising accounts for only 40% useful.

No method can put advertising messages reach customers faster with Adwords and also hard to find the governance model and simple yet so effective. Google Adwords ad has the tremendous advantage that no other marketing plan can bring rapid and effective as it specifically.

Hard to say that method better SEO or Adwords. For each investment strategy Marketing, will now have the most appropriate plan or through ad consultants seeking to optimize cost. Important issues and the core of every effective campaign is your business, so let's analyze carefully the advantages and disadvantages, the budget and their ability to choose the most appropriate method.
