As per My Concern SERP is More important then Page Rank as SERP stands for Search Engine Result Pages it simply mean that Result Pages for our Site in the Search Engine. So SERP matters a lot than PR.

SERP and PR are both used as a metric. SERP is use to know the ranking of the keyword while PR is tool use to measure on how reliable the certain website is.

In my opinion PR is important because if PR is high then your website will on 1st page or on 1st position of the search engine.

If I would have to choose one, I guess PR is better.
