I know that do-follow links are better for getting my website ranked higher in Google. However, my question is for external links - from my blog.

I write a blog and I include links to websites with high DA (above 70). I am doing this to show Google first of all that my content is related to this industry from the links, but also to establish high authority for my website.

So, should I use no follow or followed links? I heard that if I have lots of external links, the effect could be opposite.

Do Follow Links give you backlinks which is counted by search engine but no follow gives you only traffic but not count by google for ranking factor. But you should build both backlinks

Yes, You heard right! Too many external links can hurt you. So maintain the external links and no need to keep each link do-follow! you can set them as no follow also!

It's good to maintain balance between the do follow and no follow links, as only do follow links are also harmful for you.

Nofollow links might not give an immediate bump to your PageRank, but by providing visibility and organic traffic, they can steer people to your website, encourage the kind of sharing and linking that will get you dofollows and link juice, help your site maintain a "natural" profile and boost your overall authority metrics.

Follow links are links that count as points, pushing SEO link juice and boosting the page rank of the linked-to sites, helping them go higher in the SERPs as a result.
The nofollow tag is basically a notice sign for search engines saying "don't count this."

Do-follow links mean that link which gives permission to pass his link value to the other site.
A no-follow link is totally opposite from Do-follow.
Do - follow link absolutely good than No-follow, it's not helpful only in traffic but you can get link value also
so you should use both no-follow and do-follow both.
but try to find Do-follow link if possible
when search engine crawler checks your site it sees your backlinks which are high ranking, it also gives rank to your site.
so No-follow links also useful, so don't ignore it, create more and more high ranking backlinks for your site.

Yes, you should think about the use of do-follow and no follow. You must have known how do follow or no follow links are important to the website. About external links on your blog, I'd say there is no certain rule of giving external links. And about blogs, like word count is not limited to a blog, similarly, external links are not limited, I mean give hyperlinks to externals or internals in a blog post, if this key phrase/ keyword needs.

Nofollow connections probably won't give a prompt knock to your PageRank, however by giving perceivability and natural activity, they can guide individuals to your site, energize the sort of sharing and connecting that will get you dofollows and interface juice, enable your site to keep up a "characteristic" profile and lift your general expert measurements.

Both Do-follow and No-follow helps to build the page page authority value where as do-follow along with authority provides link juice(back link) which helps in increasing the ranking of the website. No-follow links don't provide the link juice to your website.
so it is good if you concentrate more on the do-follow back-links
