Hey all,
I just started working at a new company and they need content. Like, massive volumes of content. Plus, it has to be good (duh) and optimized. Problem is, none of their copywriters are worth the pittance we pay them. They're ready to shell out some cash, but nobody's biting at any of the big freelancing sites. Maybe it's because we have our own CMS? How do y'all find people? Do you have any resources that you could recommend?
Thanks a lot.

Like the previous poster I could provide quality content. I have also seen places like Elance or oDesk (which I think have now merged) provide some very good content before. Depending on who you hire of course, it is all about doing your homework so you can make an informed decision.

I think It has been common knowledge for a long time that linking out is great way to establish some authority, I recommend it to all my clients.
The post I wrote was really tryinig to generate a discussion about the power or weight of outbounds. When people consider ranking high in the serps the focus, justifiably, goes towards inbound links. However more and more examples are popping up that are really making me re think my external linking strategy.

Finding good content writers can be a challenge, but there are several strategies you can try to attract talented writers to your company. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Utilize job boards: Posting detailed job listings on popular job boards like LinkedIn, Indeed, or specific writing-focused platforms can help you reach a wider pool of potential writers.

2. Tap into professional networks: Leverage your personal and professional networks to spread the word about your need for content writers. Referrals from trusted sources can often yield excellent candidates.

3. Engage with writing communities: Participate in writing communities and forums where talented writers gather. Share information about your role and requirements, and invite interested writers to apply.

4. Reach out to writing associations: Contact local or national writing associations and inquire about their member database or job boards. These associations often have resources to connect businesses with skilled writers.

5. Collaborate with universities and writing programs: Consider reaching out to universities or writing programs to find up-and-coming writers who may be interested in gaining professional experience.

6. Offer competitive compensation and benefits: To attract top talent, ensure that you offer competitive pay rates and highlight any additional benefits such as flexible working hours, ongoing training, or opportunities for career growth.

7. Leverage social media and content marketing platforms: Utilize social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook to advertise your job openings or content needs. Additionally, explore content marketing platforms like Contently or Skyword, which connect brands with freelance writers.

8. Attend writing conferences or events: Participate in writing conferences, workshops, or industry events where you can meet writers in person. These events provide an opportunity to network with professionals and find potential candidates for your content needs.

9. Explore professional writing communities online: There are online platforms and communities, such as ProBlogger Job Board, Upwork, Freelancer, and Fiverr, that connect businesses with freelance writers. Browse these platforms to find writers who align with your requirements, and carefully review their portfolios and testimonials before making a hiring decision.

10. Consider industry-specific forums or websites: Depending on the niche or industry your company operates in, explore industry-specific forums, websites, or social media groups where professionals gather. Engage with the community, and when appropriate, mention your content needs to attract interested writers.

11. Host writing contests or challenges: Create writing contests or challenges related to your industry or specific content needs. Publicize them through your website, social media channels, or writing communities to attract talented writers looking for opportunities to showcase their skills and win rewards.

12. Work with content writing agencies: If you are looking for a large volume of high-quality content, consider partnering with content writing agencies that have a pool of experienced writers. Agencies can handle the recruitment, selection, and management of writers for your project, saving you time and effort.

Remember to clearly outline your expectations, deadlines, and provide proper instructions to writers during the hiring process. Additionally, consider asking for writing samples or requesting a trial task to evaluate the quality of their work before making a long-term commitment.

Overall, by combining these strategies and being proactive in your search, you should be able to find the skilled content writers your company needs.

Post an advertisement online then gather the potential list of applicant afterwards ask them to create content about a certain topic. We also ensure that they have experience in keyword planner so that we know for a fact that they can build quality content. There are a lot of freelancer out there that will love to do the job. I myself work as a freelance. BTW what were the topics on your blog?

A great deal of options to choose from and dramatic discrepancy in quality don't facilitate the search for good writers. However, there's a great platform that brings all copywriting and content writing providers together. Here's a list of the best copywriting services that you can find on the internet that could be helpful to your company: http://contentheat.com/best-copywriting-services/
