So far early to draw conclusions. It is difficult to draw conclusions. I didnt see any information except the page from Google http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.ru/2014/08/https-as-ranking-signal.html
I dont think that this ranking will give the acceptable quality of search, lot of time is necessary.
There will be many mistakes, for example 'Certificate name mismatch', etc.

Switching from HTTP to HTTPS can have an impact on SEO and website rankings. When you move your website to HTTPS, it provides a more secure and encrypted connection for users. This is seen as a positive signal by search engines like Google, which may result in a slight boost in rankings.

However, simply switching to HTTPS alone may not dramatically improve your website's ranking. It is just one of many factors that search engines consider when determining rankings. It is important to also focus on other aspects of SEO, such as high-quality content, relevant keywords, user experience, and mobile-friendliness.

Ultimately, implementing HTTPS is a recommended practice for websites to ensure security and trustworthiness for users. While it may not directly guarantee a significant boost in SEO, it contributes positively to your overall website optimization efforts.

In newsletters it was a lot about this Google innovation. And acording to it a lot of companies do the move. But so far there are now reports about results.

Yes, there are reports of Google launching a new ranking signal that gives a small ranking boost to Https websites. You can move your website to https for SEO ranking.

Exactly one week ago, I moved my site from HTTP to HTTPS, making my whole entire site serve up content securely. As you may recall, Google officially came out and said that HTTPS is a search engine ranking signal now. One week after I moved the site, here is an update. Overall, traffic from Google organic search is up 9.58 percent. And the overall quality of the traffic is much better, as well.
