To check for a spam penalty, enter the URL without HTTP into Google's search bar. It appearing on the top of the results is a good thing.

Next, enter the URL without the HTTP into Google's search bar without the "." in between the URL and the TLD. If it's on the top of search results, it doesn't have a spam penalty.

If it doesn't pass the first, it more than likely has a spam penalty.

Ex: <--search

myurlhere com <--search

Penalties can be manual or automatic. with manual penalty, you will be noticed during the mistake but in automatic.

Your website and keywords are not ranking well and remove your website from google search result.

1. Check Google Analytics for Traffic Data:

If one day, your traffic seems normal, and the next day there's a sharp drop-off (or possibly no traffic at all), that's a pretty good indicator of a possible penalty.

2. Check Whether Your Site is Still Indexed:
3. Check for a Recent Google Algorithm Update:
4. Check Google Webmaster Tools:

The best option to check that your website is penalized by Google or not is Google Analytics and Google Webmasters tool. If you see a drop in Google organic traffic during the dates that Google released an algorithmic change, then most probably your website get penalized.

In Google Webmaster tool: If you click on Search Traffic and Manual Actions, you can find out if you were penalized. For example, if Google detects unnatural links on your site, you will get a message explaining the issue.

The fast and authoritative way is to type "" in Google search box. If no page was indexed, your site may have been penalised by Google.
