improving trustrank
« on: 11-28-2012, 04:46:12 »

I came to seo mastering tonight and was happy about my .03 increase in predicted PR to 3.28. Then I notice the little icon for trustrank which I'd never heard of.

Mine was .3. Ouch! I got such a shock that my site is considered so untrustworthy by search engines. I want to implement a strategy to completely turn things around. I'll be reading here other posts on it and also invite your suggestions. Thanks.

You improve your trust Rank when sites with a better TrustRank link to your site.
.edu and .gov sites have the best trustrank. from there the trist trickles down to other sites.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

A good criteria to judge the quality of a site is measuring both the domain authority and the Pagerank.

Hello, I can suggest some good tips for it! So,
- you need to increase Backlinks from sources already trusted by Google. Sites that constantly rank high and receive the maximum search traffic hold the maximum trust.
- include Google authorship information on your site. Increase your author rank and you will see the improvement in your site's trustrank.
- include proper contact information on your website. If you are an ecommerce site owner then have a secured socket layer certificate.
- increase the amount of trust in the minds of your customers, increase your brand value so that brand related searches gets increased.
- get backlinks from your associated industry bodies like Chamber of Commerce.

Look at this list of facts which can affect the trust rank of a website:
- domain age - the older domain age, the more website is trusted;
- additional and changing of content on the website to make it up to date;
- using black hat techniques effect the trust rank badly;
- using the keywords that are not relevant to the website to attract the traffic makes website to lose the trust in search engines;
- adding the content in the website that is not related to the theme of the website;
- backlinks - by linking a website with the one which uses spam techniques decreases the trust rank of the website.
