I have a forum website(invision board) and need some inputs to select a dedicated server.
My forum has 8 million posts (Including posts and topics) in total.
Right now i am using Xeon 5260 2 bay chaisis
12 gb ram
400 gb SD
I just want to know how can we determine the server configuration ..based on what factors?
Current issues i am facing is database table crashes....
Can I trust GlowHost.com and their web hosting servers? Are they stable?

Thanks

I have been a client of GlowHost.com for over a year now and would like to say that I am happy for getting better then ever uptime and speed connectivity.
The company states 99.9% uptime and so far I haven't seen any - so this is a very good sign.

Since 2002, glowhost.com have been providing reliable hosting services at good rates.
Great support and pricing. It may not have all the latest features etc. So far everything is good...

I decided to try glowhost.com hosting after seeing good feedbacks about their services.
As a webmaster or administrator of a site that is mission critical, I simply don't have the luxury to wait and wait. Time is money. To spare yourself headaches, switch to them now.

Just settle for a reliable host that charges a reasonably high rate and offers good service.
Never really had any problems with the server, we run a managed dedicated server with crookservers.com and speeds have been great.
Their support is outstanding and I don't think you can compare these guys to anyone else.

I use RapidSwitch in the UK. They do dedicated servers for a really good price and reliable.

There are cheaper servers out there in the US though I believe, it depends where your audience is...
