Paid hosting

I have a directory script and I want to make a site for it. I think I need MYSQL or something like that so I can upload the script to the site? I'm not positive. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I am looking for something fairly cheap and something that allows my own ads. Anyone know of some good hosting with what im looking for?

I suggest you use Hostgator...I have been using them for almost 2 years and I did not have any problems...
The support is perfect..site loading fast..and in some months there is 100% uptime

Just don't use godadddy's hosting it's terrible. I'm a long time fan of hostgator. Two words, affordable and reliable! Go for them hands down, you won't be dissapointed.

I've used the following and all were reasonable in terms of price.

- hostgator
- 1and1
- hostmonster

Also check the hosting forums for small/medium independents that have great reviews and really look after their customers. some of the smaller guys can really give you great value for money.
