If you are new in this matter, the best choice is hostmonster.com.
When you will  get some experience you would be able to make right choice.

When picking a web host, there are several options you should consider. Here are a few key factors to keep in mind:

1. Reliability and Uptime: Look for a provider that offers a high uptime guarantee, ideally 99.9% or higher. This ensures your website will be accessible to visitors most of the time.

2. Performance and Speed: Choose a web host that provides fast loading times for your website. This is important for user experience and search engine optimization.

3. Scalability: Consider whether the web host allows you to easily scale your website as it grows. This includes options for upgrading server resources or adding more bandwidth if needed.

4. Customer Support: Check the availability and quality of customer support. Look for providers that offer 24/7 support through various channels like live chat, email, or phone.

5. Security: Ensure that the web host takes security seriously and provides features like SSL certificates, regular backups, and malware protection to keep your website safe.

6. Pricing and Plans: Compare pricing and features across different hosting providers to find the best value for your needs. Consider factors such as storage space, bandwidth, and additional services included in the plans.

7. User-Friendly Control Panel: Make sure the hosting provider offers a user-friendly control panel or dashboard that allows easy management of your website.

8. Reviews and Reputation: Research and read reviews about the web hosting companies you are considering. This can give you insights into the experiences of other users and help you make an informed decision.

Hi Tormod,
Webhosting refers to a service that makes your website available to your users. I have used Host Gator for my websites for years without any complaints. It offers great features and technical support. It provides shared, reseller, VPS and Dedicated server packages for both beginners and professionals.

Hosting (also known as Web site hosting, Web hosting, and Webhosting) is the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for one or more Web sites. More important than the computer space that is provided for Web site files is the fast connection to the Internet. Most hosting services offer connections on T-carrier system lines.  In reality, there are only a few web hosting options that really matter.

Web Host Rating
Monthly Price
Setup Fee
Hosting Plan Type

I have been using Hostgator before but it become kind of unreliable lately.
Now my bet are larger companies like OVH.
Webhostingtalk have great list of cheap web hosting sites also.

You can use different hosting services to host a website such as free web hosting, shared hosting, colocation hosting, VPS hosting.
Free web hosting is most appropriate for small sites with low traffic and shared hosting is best suited for small business with medium traffic

To select a good host provider; * First search in internet and get a list of host service providers that offer the service at your affordable cost. * Scrutinize amongst them based on their success rate, legit techniques, support, reliability, reputation etc.You can get a clear idea about the above factors from use reviews. * Talk to a representative of the selected one and if satisfied...signin with them. Service providers like 9cubehosting.com (http://www.9cubehosting.com/) provide professional service at low cost.

I would like to say that one of the best options for getting decent web hosting provider is 4goodhosting.com. The thing that really has impressed me is the very fast servers and reasonable pricing. So far, I never experienced any downtime and outages. Customer service is very responsive and helpful. Contact them without hesitation.
