Do you hire server adminsitration?

If you have a lot of servers then you will prefer to hire a 3rd party server administration or you will do this yourself?

Do you think it is secure to higher a remote technical staff or do everything yourself?

I prefer local staff because of you can monitor their activity.

There is not an issue if you have trust, on a remote guy, i am working with hosting company from remote location since 3 years, and i worked as support officer for many clients from remote location

I run linux servers and I administer them myself. However, at large scales you would need to hire staff.
But make sure to inspect your servers at times to ensure that they are being maintained the correct way.

Also make arrangements to protect data on the servers.
