As I think Linux and Windows Both are really good hosting platforms to host your website. But from my side Linux server is the best for IT Companies because linux is cheaper then windows and it is more secured then windows.

Linux Server is better than window server. it is very fast and best server.

If you know what you are doing Linux, for a newbie go for windows....
