Which programming language I should prefer for designing website?

You can use PHP, JSP, ASP or Python server site language for design your site.

Best way is to use Wordpress or to download free template/website and change it for your own needs.

First learn HTML first, then CSS, then learn server and client side scripting language like JavaScript, JScript for client side, PHP,ASP,JSP, Pearl for server side.

Gaurav, if you want to design your website then better to use PHP language because you don't have to purchase license for using it and it's very easy to learn because its syntax is nearly same as HTML language.
