I got a script to allow my viewers to rate pictures of their tattoos, but when I installed it, Firefox wont display the .cfm files, rather it displays the file in text format. IE shows it, but not FF.

Any ideas how to work around this?

There could be a few potential solutions to the issue you're experiencing with Firefox not displaying .cfm files properly. Here are a few suggestions you can try:

1. Ensure the Server is Configured Correctly: Make sure that the server is properly configured to handle .cfm files. Double-check the file extensions in the server configuration to ensure they are associated with the correct MIME type.

2. Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, browser cache can cause issues with displaying certain file types. Try clearing your Firefox browser cache and then reloading the page with the .cfm files.

3. Check Firefox Add-ons: Certain Firefox add-ons or extensions can interfere with how files are displayed. Try disabling any add-ons related to file handling and see if that resolves the issue.

4. File Permissions: Incorrect file permissions could also be the cause of the issue. Ensure that the .cfm files have the necessary read permissions for both the owner and the web server.

5. Update Firefox: Ensure that you are using the latest version of Firefox. Outdated versions may have compatibility issues with certain file types.

6. Test in a Different Browser: Try testing the .cfm files in a different browser, such as Chrome or Safari, to see if the issue is specific to Firefox or not. This will help narrow down the problem and determine if it's related to the browser itself or something else.

7. Configure the MIME Type: If the server is not properly configured to handle .cfm files, you may need to manually configure the MIME type. Consult your server's documentation or contact your hosting provider for guidance on how to set this up correctly.

8. Check File Encoding: Ensure that the .cfm files are saved with the correct encoding. Use a text editor that supports UTF-8 encoding and save the files with that encoding. This can sometimes resolve issues with file display.

9. Disable Content Security Policies (CSP): Content Security Policies can sometimes interfere with the display of certain file types. If your website has a CSP implemented, try temporarily disabling it to see if it resolves the issue. However, keep in mind that disabling CSP may have security implications, so proceed with caution.

10. Consult Developer Forums: If none of these solutions work, it may be worth reaching out to developer forums or communities specific to the technologies you're using (e.g., ColdFusion). Other developers may have encountered similar issues and can provide more specific guidance based on their experiences.

If none of these solutions work, you may want to seek help from a web developer or consult Firefox's support forums for further assistance.

I went through your problem . You are facing browser compatibility issue . so resolve your issue from firebug again .

Mozilla Firefox (or essentially Firefox) is a free and open source[12] web program for the PC. It is made by the Mozilla Foundation. It takes a shot at all basic working frameworks, for example, Windows, macOS and Linux working frameworks, and with its Firefox for Android accessible for Android.

ColdFusion, an item from Macromedia, is a prevalent and complex arrangement of items for building Web destinations and serving pages to clients. With ColdFusion, an organization can fabricate a substance database utilizing input layouts and join these with application projects to make a Web website in which pages are produced powerfully as they are served.
